So, it’s been a while since I’ve last updated you on what’s been going on in my life. In June of 2018, my kid and I moved to Dallas where I started a new job with the security company I was working for. It’s been a bit of an adjustment living here without my parents’ support. But it has been a good thing.

My kid decided that they wanted to go move to Wisconsin to live with their half-sister and nanny for their niece. So, they leave this coming Saturday. It has been stressful trying to get them there. We’ve been shipping what they are planning on keeping and trying to sell those items that they think are worth some value on eBay. It’s too expensive to rent a U-Haul cross-country, so UPS has become our friend.

My son moves in with me tomorrow to take over part of the lease. It will be a tremendous help to me because it has been a little bit of a financial strain (everything has become so expensive!). I’m looking forward to living with him. It will give us a chance to really get to know each other.
