When you have to take a long drive somewhere, bring a camera along with you. For example, today I have to drive into Waco to take my daughter to the doctor. It is about an hour and a half away from us. However, the drive there is rather beautiful and I noticed the last time that there were quite a few pretty awesome photo opportunities along the way. We won’t have time to stop on the way there because we don’t want to be late for our appointment, but there is no reason why we can’t take our time on the way back. It will be a great reason to dust off the camera and at least finish up the roll of film that’s in there. (Yes, I still own a 35mm camera. It’s an expensive camera and I will use it until it dies or until I can afford to replace it with an equally good digital camera.)
I hope you get lots of great photos. I know there have been times when I’ve been in a hurry to get somewhere and haven’t stopped to see something interesting or pretty.
that sounds like an awesome idea! i used to love to go on photo safari. we would just pick random small towns and drive there to take pictures.
That’s actually a really great idea. I’ll have to try that out here.
what part of texas are you in? we are outside of austin.
We are about 50 miles east of Waco. And if you were to draw a line from Dallas to Houston, we are approximately in the middle of that line.
