Day 3 – Favorite Horror Movie
I was 28 years old and the mother of 4-year-old twins when the movie “The Ring” came to theaters. I saw it with my boyfriend at the time. When we came home we both admitted that we were terrified that the phone was going to ring at any second. We ended up sleeping with the hall light on, too afraid of what the darkness had to offer us. Nothing is creepier than seeing that girl climb out of a television set. I don’t think I will ever view a television or a VHS tape the same way again.
That being said, it was definitely my favorite horror movie of all time. No other movie has managed to scare me that way and actually stay with me. Others have made me jump at appropriate times and everything, but they all lost their effect the moment I stepped out of the movie theater or shut off the tv. Some horror movies just simply make me laugh at their stupidity. So, “The Ring” is definitely the best horror movie I have ever seen.
